Trial of Genetic Screening Test for Colorectal Cancer Seeks Participants

Men and women aged 65 and older are being sought to participate in a research study examining the accuracy of a genetic screening test for colorectal cancer.

The screening is a new non-invasive approach to screen for colorectal cancer by analyzing the DNA shed in a stool sample to detect genetic changes that develop during the precancerous and cancerous stages of colorectal cancer.

Researchers will compare the accuracy of the genetic screening test with that of the fecal occult blood test.

Study participants will undergo a complete evaluation including colonoscopy and fecal occult blood test. They will receive expert medical attention throughout the medical research study.

The study, sponsored by EXACT Sciences Corporation, will be conducted at 80 centers and will enroll approximately 5,000 participants nationwide. For more information, call toll free 1-888-354-0839.
